Well, it is hard to believe but yesterday (Sunday) was 100 days in the NICU. Em seems to be out of the woods on this latest NEC scare and is eating again...and gaining weight quickly as a result (5 pounds, 7 ounces). She should get her IV out tomorrow and is breathing pretty well. She is still spitting up after each feeding but it seems to be less this time around.
Everyone wants to know when she will come home...she has to be breathing and eating all on her own...not for a long time. Thanks for your continued prayers for our family as we get through this!

Yay for Emily! She looks so good!
So sweet! She looks amazing, filled out and so much bigger.Hugs to her. We still keep praying...& thanking the Lord for all the progress she has made.
She even has a little double chin! What a beautiful little princess! Praise God for the growth and improvements in her health. What a wonderful gift of life--102 days, and counting! I know there is a ways to go before she can leave the hospital, but you know what, there is never a day when we stop praying for our children and grandchildren, and depending on God to protect them and to grant them life and health and every good. We do this whether or not they are at home or in the hospital. All of us, but especially you as parents, have had our faith tested. As James said in his epistle, endurance is definitely getting a chance to grow, and when that is fully developed, the scriptures tell us that we will be perfect and complete, needing nothing! Whew!
Oh she is so beautiful! I am in tears and rejoicing to see how the Lord has GROWN her from her miniscule birth weight to this healthy looking sweetheart that honestly looks like she's getting CHUB. We praise the Lord for our girl and for all of his grace towards you all. I'm so glad to hear from you too M. Matt will be really glad to read these words from you.
We are standing with you all, conintinuing to lift you to the throne of grace, to Him who is powerful and gracious, abouding in love...
in his love,
jill- for the Ks
