Utter Randomness

Well, since I realize it has been a while, I will just do my best to catch us all up. :) I feel I must warn you that these are very random pictures...

Emmy finally got her chance at the camera so she was taking pictures of everything...and she did a perfect imitation. First she would take a picture while saying, "teese" (cheese)!

And then check to make sure the photo was good before moving on. Good little photographer. :)  Where the hat came from, I have no idea.

Ah, these two, cute as always...singing into their microphones...

Our little divas...

We also went up to see my brother...watching a little tv.

Em playing doctor.  She rarely likes to do this so I took it as a good sign.

The two early birds...well, the willing ones.  Since they are up, so are the moms.  K didn't want to take a pic so I included it so you could see her pouting face as well as her cheese face.

Probably three minutes later...Y can read now so he reads to all the little ones.  It is so cute!

And this is my brother.  He has been back a week and man is it a transition!  He says the best way to explain it is that for 7 months, it isn't just his kids he hasn't seen, he hasn't seen a single child.  He hasn't seen a single tree or any grass and he doesn't remember hearing any birds singing.  The onslaught of color and kids and energy and noise has been overwhelming.  Plus, just three days after being back, he sprained his ankle severely so he can't even run.  Thank you for your prayers for his safety.  Don't tell him, but I cried when I found out he was back safe and sound.  :)  Please pray he will transition back quickly and easily!

There was a lot of horsing around at their house...

I told Y I was going to take a pic of him so he said he was going to pretend he didn't see me.  :)

When we got home, we decided winter just isn't going to come this year and cleaned up the backyard so we can play all the time.  We raked and mowed the grass...

...and removed the tarp from the sandbox and brought out all the toys...this was the new one from Christmas.  It keeps water under the sink and you actually pump it through the faucet.  Whoever designed this had kids!

Oh yes, A stopped by to help with the house warming...yuck!

We also had a family work-out session.  K saw their jerseys and decided they needed to work out.  Look at that form!  Yes, that is a twill skirt.  No, I can't explain that.  She mowed in it too.

Emmy did her best imitation.  That leg went up and down at least ten times.

Then after we showed her the correct way, this is what she came up with.  Listening, not so much her forte right now.  :)

Seriously, K is good at this!  It is strange to me since we work out while they are napping so it's not like they see us do it all that much.  Oh well, shows what they pick up on!

Making playdoh with Em's new teacher.  I like her a LOT. She is very good at including K so they both have fun and I don't have to run interference all the time.  Em's first teacher was like this but the last one wasn't.  Don't take the word interference wrong...I took the opportunity to do crafts and projects with K, but it never failed that they were both more interested in what the other person was doing, so it was rarely a perfect success.  This is much easier and they are both happier...or at least convinced they aren't missing out.  :)

I realize this is not a flattering picture of either girl, but it is here to remind me to answer the question everyone keeps asking: Can Em see better with her new glasses?  To be honest, I can't really see a difference from my point of view.  The only thing I do notice is that she has decided that the tv might be something worth watching...for a minute or two.  Before she completely ignored it unless you held her up to it.  Now she will stop and look at it for a minute before moving on.

Well, I think I deserve a cup of hot mint tea and a tv show.  I am fighting a cold off with all my might and I am determined to win.  I am not a good sick person, I will admit that.  Oh, I almost forgot.  We finally got Em into a bed!  We have tried several times but she has not been able to stay put.  I told her teacher and she suggested lining the bed with pillows so she has a better sense of where she is in space, so we did, and, well, end of story.  So far, barely even a fight.  Crazy!  This lady knows a lot.  Makes for a happy mommy.  :)   God Bless!!!!!
