Z Bday and New Toys

Well, this little girl had her third birthday party today! Another excuse to hang out, eat food, and celebrate life...like we need it! Sorry the pics are tiny and terrible quality...I won't get my real camera back for 7 - 10 days and I miss it already!!

It was a princess party but as you can see, I didn't get the memo that I wasn't supposed to let K pick out her own outfit. :) Don't worry, I got her some princess dresses in the after halloween sales and she will get them for Christmas. Until then, whatever she wants, rolls!

Hanging out with friends we haven't seen in a long time! I miss them!

Em got fixated on the balloons...

I had to get one of Z's furrowed eyebrows. She is so expressive - her face and her arms tell stories all of their own and then her language has the clarity of an adult - so watching her talk is just fun. She cracks me up!!

At least this time around, we didn't need the boys to break the pinata, we got a serious little stud of a princess beating it down!

K did catch on this time, it's just that, well, she's just not a violent little girl so hitting it hard is still elusive to her. :) She tried though!

When we went inside, the girls lined up to watch Z open her presents. So cute!

Well, with winter here, we invested in an indoor playground (bounce house with a slide). It has already saved my life a couple of times and it is ridiculously fun. If I must confess, M and I pulled it out and played on it ourselves a couple of times. All Em cared about was the balls. She saw the bag, grabbed it, ran to the corner and kept saying, "my balls". Oddly enough, I haven't taken a pic of the entire house but I am sure you will see one soon.

Em can't get up the slide ladder on her own, so she just goes up backwards...little monkey.

There is a tunnel under the slide that is Em's favorite part.

A little obstacle in the middle of the bounce part.

That leads to this ladder that goes to the top of the slide. It is ginormous! And did I mention really, really fun???

The first time A came over, K had to help her up the ladder...not anymore!

It's just as fun to play in as it deflates! It's best feature, by the way, we put it up for a while, burn some energy and then it disappears.

K helping dad put it away.

K is turning into my little artist. She loves her easel and colors on it all the time. She is very serious and usually goes in her room so Emmy can't bother her.

The other day I asked her to paint Curious George and she painted the brown thing on the left, then told me he needed a tree and some bananas...I realize this is a parent talking but she is only two and a half and that is really well done in my estimation!! She drew it for Uncle Ben's birthday but I stole it for my memory book instead. God thought it was funny to give me a princess, why not an artist too???

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day! Please keep M in your prayers, these close calls are getting to be too frequent for me. God Bless!
