We went hiking with Noah and Juli today up Brandy Creek trail which is about 6 miles from our Old Shasta house. We loaded up our backpacks and took their 2 dogs (boxers) and Sammy along and hiked about 5 miles along the trails. We thought this would be a good training hike to get us ready for our hike along the Na'Pali coast in Kaui in a week. Unfortunately, it wasn't as green as it usually is this time of year, due to lack of rain, but the creek had water in it, and the waterfalls were still flowing.
