Well, the speech went well so thanks for your prayers and your patience while I went off the grid for several days to get ready for it! :)
We are off on a vacation. It was only supposed to be one week but M got some training that requires him to be in Sacramento for his work week, so lucky us, what would normally have made me very upset has turned into a two week vacation for me in SF with my parents.
I think we will make it safely with her at the wheel!! She is pretty excited to be traveling in Daddy's car (we switched out of the pilot for gas mileage). Have a great few days!
God Bless!!

Psalm 30
I was turning to Psalm 29 tonight when my Bible flopped open to Psalm 30. It is circled and I have written next to it, "The hope of what we want to come. 11/28/09. E is 3wks." Intrigued, I read it:
1 I will exalt you, LORD,
for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies (I have enemies crossed out and the word circumstances written over it) gloat over me.
2 O LORD my God, I called to you for help,
and you healed me.
3 You, LORD, brought me up from the realm of the dead;
you spared me from going down to the pit.
4 Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 When I felt secure, I said,
“I will never be shaken.”
7 LORD, when you favored me,
you made my royal mountain[c] stand firm;
but when you hid your face,
I was dismayed.
8 To you, LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy:
9 “What is gained if I am silenced,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, LORD, and be merciful to me;
LORD, be my help.”
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever."
Praise God it has come true!! Retain hope.

Nephew's Bday
This weekend, we celebrated our nephew's first birthday...it was a water party so we all showed up in our suits and ready to play. Good thing too as it was the last sunny day we have had since then!
A couple pics of the bday boy.
K and cousin J in the pool.
I have several friends who don't want pics of their kids on my blog so I generally try to ask first but this cutie just has to have a spot. She saw my camera and told me she needed a pic of herself then sat perfectly still and grinned at me. So adorable!
Just playing...
You know this kid eats anything...this is pizza. Right now it is a problem that she eats and eats and doesn't gain a pound...soon, she will love it!!
Nana and Poppy and us at our own little table.
Cake time...
And more playing...although nap time was approaching quickly. :-)
Eventually, K ended up on a blanket eating her crackers and dip with chocolate milk. A good break for the kid who puts the lid back on the dip, seals the baggie of crackers and brings it all to me when she is done. I love her OCD disposition!
Um, yeah, I get asked all the time how come K never has all her clothes on...I can't keep them on her. I keep thinking this is the only time in her life she will be allowed to run around with nothing on so I don't get bent out of shape over it. Besides, she's so cute! :-)
God Bless!! Oh, I am speaking again this thursday so any and all prayers are welcome. And for those praying for my sister's little girl who had a seizure on sunday, I will try to update as we learn details, but the fastest updates are to check my mom's facebook page. Have a great day!
