The girls, mostly Em and C, spent a lot of time in front of the doll house.
We even took them on the dam tour. Our dam tour guide wasn't very good but the dam was still impressive.
Those tiny little spouts on the dam that are releasing water, called river valves, are the size of that black circle. Needless to say, it was very loud when out there that day!
The three musketeers...C was such a good sport, going everywhere with the big girls.
As you can see, the dam is at full capacity, yet we continue to get rain. The white hill in the distance is Mt. Shasta. Moira told me that she feels like CA is always, "Drought, drought, drought!" Then, "Flood, flood, flood! (or Fire, Fire, Fire!)". I have to agree, we are a state of extremes. It is hard to believe that two summers ago, all the grass was dead and we only flushed the toilet when it had to be done. Now we have so much water, there is green everywhere you look and the ground won't dry out at all. Our arena has lost so much sand we will need to bring in a new load even though we should have been 'good' for two more years. I say it keeps life interesting! Though I would like it to stop raining now. :-)
C wasn't sure she wanted to be a prowling cat in the grass...her cousins are weird!
C loved all the animals. He would get up - before everyone else - and pet Sammy for a long time. Check out my boots!! He's so dang cute!
