New Glasses

Well, they are here! Em's new glasses...

We got a call at 3pm that Em's glasses were in. Braving the traffic, we took off. This is Em waiting patiently after yelling the whole way there, "My new gasses! My new gasses!" I had no idea she was going to be this excited!

Once he took hers off and walked around the counter, Em was almost shaking in her boots.

She is pretty sure she is very cool with this new look. She walks around like she has a hundred dollars in her pocket and no one knows.

They have toys at this store but of course our little princess ends up here.

Once we got home, she had to check herself out in her mirror. This will be interesting. They are her first pair of 'big girl' glasses...they don't have a strap around the back (they curl around her ears) and they are breakable. They are still too small to purchase at a regular optic store so that's why we have to drive in to Riverside to get them (something we had hoped to stop doing). Now that her lenses are so strong though, we have no choice and will have to continue to drive there just to get her glasses...and yes, every time they break and need fixing. It's a pain, but it could be worse.

From friends...

Well, if you are still praying for us, a quick prayer that she will adjust well and NOT break these glasses would be greatly appreciated! Have a great night and God Bless!!

Lions and Tigers and Bears...oh My!

I don't even know what we were doing that led to this, but at some point, we ended up with three pony tails in our hair and K convinced we were all lions. She is Simba, Emmy is Nala and I am Mufasa. :)

I know this is totally blurry but on a whim I decided to try for a pic of us and actually got it. Until the day I get a clear one of these, this will have to do.

We built a den and were chasing each other around when K climbed up on the bunk bed and gave me her lion face. Of course, I went to get the camera and made her do it again. I told her this looked more like her sassifrass face than a lion, but she disagreed.

We've had a very busy week so not much has happened...lots of drs appts, garage sales and boring life stuff like that. Dad is getting used to graves again so the girls cuddle with him when they get up from naps. I HATE graves but at least they get to see each other every day this way.

Emmy brushing her teeth...

Ok, so watching Em dance is one of the funniest things in the world. She looks like an Indian girl doing a native dance with hands going up and down, rhythmically, while she turns in a circle. It is pretty funny and I have no idea where she learned that!!

After the garage sale, Em slept forever and so K and I had a George day and played lots of games and did puzzles. It was fun! This was her watching George. My little princess! :)

Well, that's about it. We are having a small anti-superbowl party (we don't care about the game so we are going to play games instead) here in a couple hours so I suppose I should go clean my kitchen. Have a great day!!
