More Hiking

Lots of rain yesterday brought snow to the mountains around us so we decided to go for a hike today. Imagine that.

Man's best friend.
Looking out over Banning to the San Bernardino Mtn. range. Highest peak is Mt. San Gorgonio or "Old Greyback" elev. 11,499....Soon to be bagged by M & B and baby K!

Looking east at the windmills.
Her "whaleness"...Shamu, Shamu!

Playing in the snow. Samdog loves the snow.

An experiment with close up water photography

Yes, B and I took these! It took about 2 hours to get these few good shots. Now, all we need is a real close up lens...

Border Up...8 Months Today!!!

This is what the border looks like.

And this is the room to date. Just need to hang stuff on the walls.

Where are those feet anyway????

8 months and still 2 to go...why are OBs the only ones who can't count? 9 months is a lie!!

Whoa, this is how I feel most days.

Tday etc.

Okay, enough about not updating...since most of the pics I have would be repeats of J+M and J+K, I will just post a couple of tday ones no one has seen.

A lot of time was used doing this...

...of this guy...so cute!!

Daddy and boy playing with the African bus.

Heather and Terrell's little boy.

While my parents were here, we also painted the nursery...where the white line is at right now is where the border will go. The theme is safari and if you want to see what the border will look like, copy this into your URL: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3142203. That color on top is a yellow...hard to see with the flash but very safari looking.

Okay one more of this guy on the pony our RE agent bought for K (our little girl).

Today was Joshua Tree National Park

This is a Joshua Tree...

We went on a hike to an oasis...cool looking!

That's me at the base of the oasis...look how big those trees are! And we are in the middle of a desert.

April near the top of the oasis where we ate lunch.

Valley view

April Comes to Visit

So, good old friend/roommate/teammate, etc...April has come to visit and we are out traipsing around the area.

So after stopping at a few apple orchards, we made the small hike to Forest Falls.

We tried to get a picture together...big B was a little too slow for the timer...sorry people!!

I mean LOOK AT THIS THING!!!

A view up the valley...some mtn up there is 11,700ft...will have to climb at a later date.

SF

I'm visiting my mom and dad...it has been very fun and is great to see other people! Took the dog and even got to see Mo. The other prego girl is Mo's sister Meg. She gave me a bunch of clothes...I may have to 'grow' into them but I am very grateful.

Trip to Getty Center

B and I decided to spend the day at the J. Paul Getty Center. This place is awesome and we are definately going back. You pay $10 to park and admission is free! Can you imagine that, something to do in LA without breaking the bank!

Looking back at the main entrance from the courtyard.

Turning around 360 and looking at the west pavillion which overlooks downtown LA.

The garden area. We brought our own food along and ate here. Quite beautiful.

Looking from the gardens back up to one of the research buildings.

M's favorite piece of artwork!

My favorite painting, although there were quite a few that were pretty cool.

Sculpture and architecture were kinda the theme around this place.

Downtown LA from one of the balconies. Yes, that is smog in the air. Imagine we are breathing that crap!
