Life

It was recently brought to my attention that most of the pics on here are of our kids and not the adults...well, can you blame me? They are super cute! Anyway, I just so happened to get three of the four people I hang out most with in some photos of us hanging out this week. A is the mother of G (the four year old) and a little boy not shown cause he was napping. She owns the house and the pool that we like to invite ourselves over to. :)

J has four children, although that is not one of them, and she is the one that lives near me and I leave my kids with when I just need a break.

J is mother to Z and the newest member of the clan, A (shown above and below)...who is just now four months old and already as heavy as Em and might be as tall within a few months. He is crazy big!! His Dad's 6'5" so not a surprise.

Back at our place, one of our friends from Redding came through and stopped in to see us. N just had her second daughter, yet I failed to get a pic of her. She is a cutie, but she took a nice nap for us. Yipee!

Her oldest...they will also be tall, mom and dad are both over six feet tall. O just turned two and she was significantly taller than K and A! I forget how small my kids are until we get new visitors...my kids and most of my friend's kids are on the small end of normal. :)

On our way to church, A had this cute outfit on so I gave her K's boots and asked her to pose and this is what I got. She cracks me up!

Well, at the beginning of summer, someone sent us a couple of bags with fun beach stuff in them. I saved them for a 'rainy day' and that day came. The girls got the biggest kick out of the stuff! We dressed up in aprons and hair bands and spent the day playing...K helping Em put hers on.

We cooked some food...

Used the sand tools outside...

And even smiled when sister took our toys away...it was a good day! Thanks!

This just cracks me up, so dirty shirt and all, you get to share. She is a total clown and thinks all things are games...

Out on one of our walks. K has a low tolerance for being still (minus reading books...there is always time to be still for that), so we take a lot of "Woks" around the block. K thinks she either has to hold Em's leash or the dog's leash, so this is very typical.

I just like this picture cause it shows my girls...K is reading and Em goofing off with me. Silly girls!

Well, the only new news I have is that Em's eye that crosses "appears to be getting a little better" (go God!!), so we are going to hold off on surgery for now to give it more time to see if it will correct itself. Her multiple eye drs are the main professionals we see these days (besides her teachers), although the neurologist is about to become our newest friend, but not til September.

She is growing and doing well. She will be two in just two and a half months! I can't believe it. I have longed to see her at two for so long! I used to think that so many of my questions and doubts would be answered by then...and many will, but I don't think it will have the finality I was looking for...that will take a few more years. I still look forward to reaching that mark with her though! It has been a long road!

K is also doing very well. It is so much fun as they grow and can play imaginative games. We like to play with her little people a lot (I can hear her, "Mommy, wanna come pway wiff my wittle people wiff me?) and in her playhouse while she cooks. But we also spend a lot of time reading and painting. My personal favorite time is when she is just playing outside and being young and free.  She speaks very well and other than being super short, she is just as normal as can be.  Praise God!!

Ok, really my favorite thing about K right now is that every morning, she gets up at 6:30 (okay, the hour is not my favorite), for no other reason than to cuddle with me.  We sit or lie down on the couch and just cuddle...until she looks at me and says, "Mommy, pease get up and feed me beckfast."  Then we go eat breakfast together and usually read or watch Curious George until Emily gets up.  I just love the time alone with her when the house is quiet and she is in her sweetest state.  I feel like I can see her heart and feel her spirit.  She is so beautiful!  Actually makes me forget how many battles we will fight that day!  :)

God Bless!!
