Out in North Carolina

Well, we are in North Carolina, visiting M's brother and wife and new baby. "Baby Cwowee" is all the rage. The girls love her and always want to be around her and touch her hair.

Proud Papa!

Having picnics on the porch...K is growling at you and Em is showing you her dance move.

I let K hold C.

And then she wanted to help feed her.  She was very gentle and very good at it.

Cleaning the playhouse we borrowed from the neighbors.  We removed all the spiders and hornets and then it rained all afternoon. Classic!  :)

Unfortunately, the rain storm brought lightening that struck somewhere on M&G's house.  There was a loud popping sound and we lost electricity and internet.  The power came back on but the AC was lost.  We just got both fixed this morning and now we are 'live' and should sleep well in the cool air tonight!  Quite the adventure for those of us who don't get real thunderstorms...quite the headache for the homeowners!!

Making Easter Eggs with Auntie G.

Clearly since we have been off line for three days, we have done much more than this but we will have to catch you up on the Children's Museum and Animal Park later.  Have a wonderful day!  God Bless!

Y Turns 7!

This weekend was our nephew's (Y) seventh birthday...he's having a "friends party" next weekend, but since we won't be here, we decided to have a family birthday this weekend.

Let's start the day over.  In the morning, we went out and got a giant donut.  It was actually because he learned all his subtraction facts 100% and this was his reward.  Yumm!!!

Then the Dads set up their new trampoline.

Which was a HUGE hit and K couldn't stop calling it the bounce house.

Skyping with Nana and Poppy...the beauty of the ipad!

We spent some of the afternoon at the beach...

This is one of their cousins from the other side of the family.  She was here on spring break.

She is the tallest cousin and Em is the shortest so we decided a walking pic was definitely in order.

We didn't stay too long since it was too cold for the sane among us.

And that category does not include K...she ended up running around in her underwear and never did get cold.  She even went into the water, after she chased all the birds away from our snacks.  Daddy taught her that!

It only takes two days of being around boys before my princess is shooting guns and holding bullets in her mouth.  :)

For supper, we had a plethora of Ethiopian food.  It was soooooo yummy!  And spicy!

K giving Y our gift.

He has no problem showing excitement over his gifts.

These roller blades were definitely his favorite though!!

This morning, after church, it was time to learn to skate...

...which means lots of falls.  He was good though, he just kept getting up and trying again.

Well, I don't really want to post more than that, but we are headed out to NC to visit more family so I better get caught up before we head out.  I don't know how K convinces Em to push her around the house but she does it.

A and Em in outfits...

Playing on the new ipad.

Finally, Em is starting to help out around the house!!

Her favorite is to put my sunglasses over her glasses.

Oh, and we had a hair cutting party.

Babysat A...

...and pack up.  I told K we were leaving and she started to cry but then I said we were headed to Nana and Poppy's and she ran into her room, packed her blankets into her backpack and grabbed her pillow, then came out and said, "I'm ready to go, Mom!"  She's so extreme!!

Well, off we head to travel.  God Bless!!!!!!
