K and Dad went to the dentist the other day and that left Em and I alone. Em and I are made of the same fabric, so with the other two gone, we decided we needed to do something fun. When I asked Em what she wanted to do, she said "dance!...and den wrestle me!" So I agreed and she took off to the bathroom. When she came back, she had her headband and shoes on. Just her wearing that headband like that makes me laugh whenever I see it and then she was hyper on top of it so I was cracking up before we even got going. We started dancing and I was having one of the greatest times of my parenting life, when a new song came on...
The song was by Dave Barnes and it's called "God Gave Me You." Most of the song does not apply but the chorus goes like this: God gave me you for the ups and downs. I just about burst open with the beauty of it! I danced around the house and every time the chorus came on, I ran over and sang it to my little Em. So perfect was it, that on the next song, I grabbed my camera so I wouldn't forget to share my joy with all of you. God is good!
