Our little destructive comedian...she seems to destroy everything she touches and will do anything to make you laugh. This is the frame from the digital frame she has been watching (and sent crashing to the floor) and when I told her to frame her face and smile, this is what she did.
We went for a walk with our old mentors from up here.
Had to include this cause they get so jealous of each other, it comes out all over, even having to stand on the same rock so they don't miss out.
Em discovers the ties on her pants.
K was pretty crabby so we put her in a time out and told her to stay until she got happy. Then I saw her surroundings with tiny little her in the middle and decided to snap a photo.
Then we met the couple we used to run with at the park...this is their little girl D. What's funny about our group of friends up here is that none of us were going to have kids and now we all have two (or are about to) and the firsts were all born within months of each other.
Not sure how those got in there, out of order but this is the walk again...
...and a pic with us and our mentors.
Emmy trying to brush her teeth...
At our other friend's house, the aquarium was a giant hit. K's first comment was an excited, "It's Nemo!!"
At one point K put her ear to the glass and declared, "The fish are talking to me!"
We've been hiking with this dog and even witnessed him take a dive off a ten foot cliff. He's one of those dogs who seems a little too much like a person so it's no surprise K decided to hug him.
He's only a month older than K.
This little guy had troubles at birth too and came into this world at four pounds eight ounces. He's doing great!
Little guy with his dad...who, by the way, made the library in this house.
We went out to eat and the kids were able to sit in the window and look out while we ate. We asked them to hug each other and T wasn't too sure what to do, but K was adorable as always. :)
Well, part of the reason we came back up was to be there for my parent's installation service at their new church.
Praying for my parents at the service.
Stretching with Dad before we headed out for a hike...
We had K's first birthday party and here she is pointing out which princess she is.
We made her a true K "cake"...pure chocolate. She was ecstatic.
Emmy is in that stage where she tries on everyone's shoes and walks around...this was Nana's boots.
This is in the backyard. Emmy climbed up onto the rocks and was so proud of herself, she screeched until I came and took notice of her.
Reading with my grandma, "Gigi".
We head home tomorrow so your prayers for safety are welcome! Have a wonderful day and God Bless!!

Back Up North
Well, we have headed back up north for a quick week of vacation before the new year really starts for us. People think we have a death wish but the girls have been great during all the 9-10hr car rides and M and I have traveled all our lives so although it is long, we are getting used to it again. This time around though, we made some snacks for the road. This is K kneading the dough for the cheesy pretzels.
Check out the knee on the table...an attempt to get more leverage for the cookie cutter shapes.
When we got here, they unwound playing play-doh. This man has a set of very nasty teeth!
We are patching Emmy's eye an awful lot these days so many of the pics you see will be with her 'patch eye' on.
The drill actually turns and K kept trying it on her teeth.
K also had to help Nana make Mommy's birthday cake.
This was actually my second bday celebration as we went to J+K's on my actual bday. I didn't take any pics but it was fun to visit and celebrate both J's and mine bdays.
Emmy watching the digital picture frame again.
And off for a hike...
The sun started to set while we were out there. These aren't the best colors for a sunset pic but they are lovely to me. :)
Hanging out again with old/new friends.
Our little helper sweeping the porch after playing in the sand.
Silly girls...they are dying for some rain!!
We started to build the campfire area behind the house so we loaded the stumps and set them around it. The colors were wrong but Emmy was so happy sitting on her log that I had to include it.
Awww, Nana and Emmy.
Oh, more of our little helper...now helping Poppy fix the receiver. She actually went to get her own flashlight and is carrying on some sort of conversation with him. :)
And now the TV...
Well, we have a lot more going on but I will get to that later. My Dad is being installed tonight in his new church and this is more than enough for one post. As of right now, we are still healthy and loving life. God Bless!
