SO here goes...our lives the last two weeks have been all about packing, visiting, fixing the house and buying another house. It has been a bit busy and a bit stressful but we are doing everything we can to enjoy it, take breaks and thrive. We went with Gwen and Joey to Forest Falls.
We did one last day of school for the kids. We decided to take it easy on ourselves and just do one of the letters they tend to struggle with.
Ha! It looks like A is hailing Hitler!
Oh, that was going to be the last hairdo before the big cut.
Sea World gave out one day free tickets for first responders and we could not have been more thrilled to go! This has easily been our favorite park down here. With a great mix of animals, rides, shows and perfect weather, it just can't be beat. The girls about collapsed when we told them we were going to Sea World one last time. K was brave and touched the shark.
Em brought her Shamu to say "Goodbye" to all the other Shamus.
According to the dolphins, the girls are the same height. K is so disappointed as "Emily can't be the big sister, I am!!". This will be a good summer to take her to see my sister and point out that she is taller than me and always has been, yet I am still the big sister. :-)
One of the shows was Madagascar...oh my, it was a total teeny-bop concert. M and I were dying. The girls were eating it up! When it got done I couldn't have been more grateful and K exclaimed, "That was the best show EVER! I love this place!"
Don't get me wrong, I love a beat and I will be attending all things the girls get into whether I like it or not, but it was soooo cheesy...I'll just stop there.
Since they gave us free tickets, Dad got the meal ticket...never have the girls had so many desserts in one day.
Em swore she wanted to get wet at the Shamu show, so we went down nice and low. She was so excited to see him again and was clapping and watching. After the first splash, she was done. Up the stairs we went with her saying, "Shamu! Why you get me so wet? Naughty Shamu!"
Then we said goodbye to the turtles. That is K's sting ray.
Not once in the entire year we had our passes did she go in the polar bear den (it makes growling noises and feels cold and is actually a bit dark). This time she wanted to show she wasn't scared.
Clutching Reyna, she even went in to the deepest part of then den.
The rest of life is projects, boxes and more boxes. Our problem is that we have to figure out how to pack so we can live in a single house with my parents for a few months and keep most our stuff in storage. Figuring out what you need with two small kids, home school, and valuables has been a blast. Taking down the tree house...
Visiting with family...
Ks drawing the next day...
Let's not forget pretending to be ducks when they found my garden gloves in a box.
Helping Dad paint the new door (the original Em put a hole through). This one she knocked over while it was drying but thankfully it didn't land on anything so not round three. Em has skills when it comes to destroying things.
Making boxes for our valuables...in this case the TV. We got a deal when we bought it because it was a display and didn't have a box...seemed fine at the time.
Making casts out of anything. They are so creative!
Well, the chaos of packing and the house being in a mess is far more stressful than I anticipated. Having a house in disarray and dirty all the time, worried about no one visiting is actually more stressful than keeping it spotless for showing. The girls do great for a few days then have a break down or two and then seem fine again. Sounds a lot like their Momma, though I haven't broken down in front of them yet. Yet.
We are also in escrow on a small ranch with a horse boarding business on one side. We will see it for the first time when we get up there and hopefully it is all we hope it is and we can show you pictures soon! We leave Friday. Yes, in four days. I have two days to finish packing, one day to pack a truck, one day to drive all day, one day to unpack a truck, the next day to return it an hour and an half away and bring my husband to the airport two and a half hours away (all on our anniversary...lucky 13), the next day I learn how to run a horse boarding business...and life just jumps into full tilt.
Pray for us as we travel and make all these decisions! God Bless!!

Forgot Breckenridge in Colorado
I completely forgot one of the days we spent in Colorado, so I am adding it here. I promise I will update on the move and life very soon, but keeping up while packing a home and packing in as much time as possible with friends leaves little time for much else. :-) I do promise I have exciting news.
So one of our days in Colorado, we went up the mountain to the Breckenridge ski lodge. Yes, we got to ride the gondolas up there free of charge and then spend lots of money to do some pretty fun activities. This is the ride down the hill. So from the lodge, they took the ski lift to the top and rode down on these 'sleds'.
The kids got to do some gold panning and found several gems.
Of course there is plenty of rock climbing. My little stud-muffin...she was timid this day and didn't make it all the way up but she usually does, so I will still call her my stud-muffin.
J was scared to go high at first but he did well and fought through his fears and made it to the top!
Of course there is little Em - crazy girl, impressing everyone wherever she goes. :-)
Some of us...
And then there was the trampoline...K is in the middle in the black.
And then there is Jay...
And, as I said, crazy Em.
We even managed to work in some mini-golf, a bounce house, and playing in the snow.
On the gondola
Adieu! I swear that is it from CO! Next stop, Redding, CA.
