Murphy?

This is kind of a catch-up post since many of you know that my computer died the day we got home from the hospital and I just got a hold of these pictures. Have you ever heard of Murphy's Law? If it's going to go bad, it will. I don't believe that at all. I am an eternal optimist who has been forced into realism. :) BUT, Murphy is trying to take residence at our place but we just keep kicking him out. The day of the birthday, the sink got all backed up and leaked all over the floor. Yep, that's Mo under my sink. We cleaned it all up and discovered that the nut on the pipe was stripped and the pipes wouldn't stay connected.

SO what did we do? What any woman does...stuck a gallon of pink bubbles underneath it and force the pipes together. It's still working and no plumbers crack needed. :)

Mo and the boys stayed for the morning and we were entertained all morning by a variety of activities, dances and magic shows.

In this act of the magic show, K gets put in the couch and she disappears...

...only to suddenly reappear!  Y came and told me, "You know what the trick is?  Shedoesn't really go anywhere, she just hides inside there!"  I was so surprised!

He was the pre-show entertainment...you can see the tunnel of terror behind him.

"Tah-dah!!"

Ok, so we haven't had any rain, but the one day we got it, K was out there.  I wanted her to take a nap so she didn't get to go tromping around but there is hope for tomorrow.

It has literally been so warm here that we are willing to swim.  We are not in the big pool as the water is too cold but the little jacuzzi next to it, for sure. I know the water is warmed, but look at us.  We are outside in bathing suits, willing to get wet and just sit there enjoying the sun.  Is it really January?  We better get rain soon!

The winds here were crazy over the past couple of days.  When I went outside, a piece of our fence had blown open so I bricked it up until M could get up and do something more permanent, but it blew the bricks away.  So I leaned against it, told God we couldn't afford to replace our fence yet and texted a couple of my friends to pray with me that God would change the direction of the winds.  And He did.  Let that sink in...these were Santa Ana winds streaming through our back yard and He changed the direction for us.  So I don't care how hard Murphy tries to derail us, we always have God on our side!  M secured our fence and God is good!!!

Before I sign off, I have to take a moment to brag on my man.  One of the days when I came in to take my shift at the hospital, I was greeted by the nurse quite enthusiastically, which I thought was weird but decided she was just nice.  Instead, a few minutes later, she was gowned up and in the room.  "Do you know what your husband did?" she asked, "He put your daughter right on the floor in a bin and gave her a bath.  I don't think I have ever seen a Dad do that."  I smiled at her and said, "Yep, that sounds like my husband, he's an amazing Father."  "Well, you count your blessings!" she came back, "You have no idea how rare that it.  Most Dads who even come in, don't care for the babies and he was so attentive to her.  He read to her and cared for her and, I mean, he even gave her a bath!  You count your blessings!"  I must have reassured her half a dozen times, "I do! I promise!"

I know lots of people have said things like this before and this is my promise.  I never take all he does for his girls or me for granted.  He is an amazing Father, so attentive and so willing to pitch in every chance he gets, and even more of an amazing husband.  I can count on him and he always shares the load with me.  I never feel alone.  I am stronger because I know if I reach the point where I just need someone and he will be there.  I am not taking anything away from God but on a human level, he's more than I would think to ask for.  So, I just wanted to say that.  Honor my hubby and all he does and thank God for giving him to me and his girls.

God Bless!!!
