B-Boy Turns Three!

Well, our youngest nephew turned three today...at the Fire House Museum. It was a pretty sweet set-up and made for an awesome time hanging out and having fun!!

They have a small room where you can set up for cake and snacks and presents...

Yeah, those are Spiderman in the background.  He wanted Spiderman at the fire station. Awesome!! :-) At least all the colors matched!

A little bit of the museum.

Now on to the real fun.  They had an old fire hose on the top of a truck that you have to aim by individually turning a horizontal crank and a vertical crank.  Initially, everyone followed instructions and aimed only at the pretend house set up in the grass.  Initially.

They also had a hose attached into an old hand pump...one kid got to hold the hose while everone else had to pump. Finally, there's the birthday boy!

The girls with Poppy (Nana is out of town).

Some of the little ones wanted to pump the hand crank, but needed a little help.

My girls are, well, sissies when it comes to water and boys in the same place.  At least they both shot the hose once...

...even if Em needed a little help from her cousin.

Eventually multiple kids were holding the hose and all the parents were working the hand pump.

Ok, from here on out, it is pretty chaotic...we were inside, then outside, in the playroom, then in the snack and cake room...I was going to try to make sense of it all, but in the end it is just too hard.  I included as many of the variety of faces I got from B too so I hope you enjoy.

Going through the museum with Poppy...

Eventually, the rest of the kids (certainly not mine) finally just started to play in the water instead of with the water.

In the playroom, there was a lot of dress up stuff and great toys.

B finally got to blow out the candle on his cake.

Everyone was happy about that!

In there somewhere is J...he might be one big boy but even he swims in adult size clothes.  :-)

The face of intensity!!

Overall, it was a VERY fun time! Happy Birthday B-Boy!! God Bless!!

Real Tea Party

This weekend, I took K to her first real tea party. For those intent on feeling bad for Em, trust me, she was far happier spending the day with Dad and not being asked to sit still for any lengthy period of time or be gentle with everything she touched. And Mom, she was thrilled not to be stressed out the entire time over her. It was so relaxing to just be there with K, knowing I could take my eyes off her and all would still be well. :-)

Anyway, we got all dressed up and since K was in a dress, she insisted Mom be in one too. So we took some pics on our way out the door...

Then we carpooled with our friends...you don't see a lot of these girls on the blog because they go to school.  I hang out with their Mom's a lot but not very often with the girls around.

K was thrilled!

She even taste-tested the teas.

I love Ang's eyes!

Mini-Me?

They had a cute little table set up for decoration, so we decided it was time for some pics.

Seriously, the veil was cracking me up.  She kept it on the entire time and of course, everyone was fawning over her and telling her how pretty she was.  She was eating it up!

Easily my fav pic.

We had a great time!  But just to keep it real, when we got home, a package from Nana L had come and she put it all on and pretended to swim across the floor.

God Bless!!
