I know I get some 'interesting' outfits from these girls (since I generally let them dress themselves) but even I knew these partiuclar outfits would take the cake almost anywhere, so I decided to document it. I also realize the girls will not appreciate this when they are teenagers but don't worry, I am preparing for that already. :-)
I cannot believe how fast time is passing...this was already a week ago and I considered getting new pictures because of how much more these plants have grown but decided just to show you now. These are the peas and corn we planted a few weeks ago.
We have pods that have ripened and been eaten by us already!
And they are pretty big too.
So peas in the middle and one row of corn on each side. We are pretty excited. I am even keeping a basil plant alive in the other plantar!
This past weekend we went to the Hangar 24 Air Show. It is put on by a brewery so we got there early. Because of that, the girls were able to play on the bounce houses with no lines!
I was happy they had a huge slide one because all Em talked about for weeks was that after she got her cast off, A was going to have another bday party so she could go on the giant slide. (Her bday party was the day after Em broke her arm and since she did not have a real cast on yet, we did not allow her to play).
K wanted to try the climbing wall. She did great!...
Until she realized she was very high up with no way down. Apparently she did not realize the rope was actually holding her so she refused to let go once she got tired. When she got done, this was the look we got. If I didn't live with K, I would have thought this was a complete fail. Instead, I ignored her initial reaction and let it ride while I kept telling her she did a great job.
An hour later she asked if she could climb again. "Mom, I won't be scared this time. I know the rope is holding me. I will be berry brave! I will make it all the way to the sky!" So we waited through the now hour long line and did the whole thing again. This time, though, she climbed more than half way up and then just let go. She also skipped away this time, very proud of herself, and went to tell Dad.
Yes, these two are raised in the same house...one wants a shark eating her nose...
...and the other wants to be a princess.
Oh yeah, there were airplanes there...
...and parachutes and other fun stuff, like loads of food and beverages.
This was the Jelly Belly plane and it was my favorite by far...not because it was fast or powerful but because this guy could fly like you would not believe! He kept pretending he was crashing and flew around without one of his ailerons at one point.
Our hanging out eventually looked like this...oh yeah, we were there with one of M's co-workers and his fam.
We hung around until my Jelly Belly airplane landed on top of a truck. Pretty amazing, especially considering the amount of wind we had. Then we bailed out of there before it got too late in the day. :-)
This is totally random but K wanted a picture of little monkey next to his monkey bowl on the blog, so here it is.
Hope all is well! God Bless!
