Mother's Day Good News

In all of the computer crashing chaos, I forgot to tell the most important news of the month! Just after Easter, Emily asked Jesus into her heart!! It was so sweet. We were watching a music video of "How Great Thou Art" and it was showing pictures from the Passion. When the video ended, Em looked up at me and said, "Mom, I wanna ask Jesus to come into my heart." With all the emphasis in the previous couple weeks on Jesus and His resurrection and what Easter is all about, it should not have surprised me, but it did a little. She was so serious, and focused. (Rare in Emily's world). I stood there for a second, looked at her and said, "Right now?" She nodded and I asked her a whole bunch of questions and we prayed. When we were done praying she was SO excited! She did not stop hugging me and running around the house and then hugging me and jumping up and down, and did I mention hugging me? for at least ten minutes. We are going to baptize her in a couple of weeks at Poppy's church. :-)

Our other giant news is that we will be moving! We have finally gotten our transfer to head back up north (yes, we have requested it for seven years now, ever since he got in). We did not make it all the way to Redding but M's new office will be south of there in Willows. We will not live in Willows however, for obvious reasons if you look it up. We are still deciding where we are going to live.  The possibilities are endless, but most likely Chico, Red Bluff, or, yep, you guessed it, all the way back in Redding. We move in August and M reports on September 2. Our June is booked with family so this could get interesting. :-)

So, back to Mother's Day...we spent the day with Nana and Poppy and the cousins. :-)

We call this photo-bombing but it's just my blog, so I had to post one photo of the whole family.  :-)

More fun and exciting news to come soon but as you can imagine we are in hyperactive decision-making mode.  We don't just have to decide where to go and what to do but what to do with our house here and, ah, it is endless.  Good thing they gave us three whole months to do it.  God Bless!!
