Wellness day at work for M

Today was "Wellness day" at work. We met at a local park and did a series of fitness tests (pushups, situps, sit and reach, 300 meter spring and mile and half run).

I volunteered to go in the first group.

I tried to demonstrate the proper form and technique for doing a pushup...

...But my partner, amongst many others, didn't really get it and lacked form...

Not to brag and post my numbers, but lets just say I was in the top 90%. Some people still believe in staying in shape.

...So far this is the closest I've gotten to the new Chargers. Maybe some day!

Mom's Bday and Monkey

We had a nice little BBQ in honor of my mother's '30th' birthday. J+M came out to help us celebrate.

K got to swim with quite the audience.

And Sammy even got one of the bones from the rib eye steaks we ate.

K enjoying a little time with Dad after a long week.

We even played a little pictionary.

And had some cake.

Then we realized we hadn't posted any pics with the monkey, so after a little discussion and toy sharing,

K finally agreed to man-handle the monkey for us...remember when this was the same size as she was??

My Cousin's Wedding

My cousin, Alicia, got married yesterday on Coronado Island (San Diego).

It was a perfect day, a beautiful wedding, and good times reuniting with friends and family.

You know how sometimes there are couples that really make your heart happy cause you just know they are perfect for each other? They are one of those couples. I am so happy for her and wish them the best!!

This is how my kid spent the ceremony...chewing on a green frog with light-up eyes...at least it was outdoors and no one could hear her!!

My mom and life-long friend Barb.

K always has lot of fun with Grandpa!

She even almost made it through the evening...oh, but not quite...the noise finally got to her but she was a trooper.

The happy couple at sunset. God Bless!!
