Been So Long!

Sorry it's been so long! After our vacation, my parents came down here for their vacation. Ah! A month of help and I barely know what to do on my own anymore! Em keeps waking up pointing around and saying, "Nana?"

We mostly spent our time hanging out with friends and family while going to new parks along the way. I didn't take a lot of pictures but here is what I have. K is quite the climber...well, they both are, K is just actually good at it. :-)

Speaking of Em saying 'Nana', she is "talking" up a storm. She is now imitating and saying quite a few words. I have even made the list. She still mostly calls me Daddy but at least once or twice a day she calls me Mommy. She points to an eye and says 'eye' but also thinks your nose is another eye. She loves to play and is in that wonderful stage where they just want to interact with you and she instigates game play all the time. She also wants to be held but not to stay still...not my favorite. She is doing so well I just marvel at her sometimes.

K on the other hand is a full on two-year old. Now I know why people wait to have the second child until the first has a chance to get through this, (or at least they just have a baby in a crib to deal with). With Em around, and always in K's business, they fight ALL THE TIME!! One minute they are playing nicely and the next they are screaming and crying. I am ready to die! Living with K is like living with two different little girls. She is super sweet and fun one second, giving me hugs because I 'wook (look) sad'; and the very next second, she is crying and whining and refusing to listen to a single word that comes out my mouth. If she is tired...well, I could go on and on but I will spare you all.

Ah, but when she is cute, she is oh so cute!!!  I just want to eat her up! You know what it is with this age? When they are up, they are really up and easily my favorite kids to be around, but when they are down, they are really down and hard even to be in the same house with. They are so extreme! Can you tell it's my first? I mean, look how adorable she is! How could I ever say anything bad about her?

Wrestling with Dad...

K is learning to brush her own teeth...we take turns.

One of K's newest things is to take her 2.5lb weight and carry it around like a microphone and sing into it. I have no idea where she learned this, as musically inclined as her father and I are (thus the weight, not an actual microphone), but it cracks me up. :-)

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day! God Bless!!
