Well, it's been a fun but very busy week. The girls have been great troopers so it hasn't been as bad as I anticipated. We learned this week that we should be grateful that Emily's teeth aren't green (and I am), she is delayed in her development, and she "has fallen off her weight curve" (they made her her own since she refuses to get on the same curve as everyone else - that's my girl!!). I know, are you as surprised as I am? It's like listening to a broken record!
Anyway, I am so over it, that I just asked the dr, "So, what do you want ME to do about that?" Upon further questioning, she realized I was in fact doing all I could and dropped the subject (after reminding me of all the dangers of not having enough weight, thanks).
We are going to repeat the sleep study next Friday night. Since it is impossible to keep oxygen on Emily at night, we need to find out if it is time to stop trying or take more serious measures to make sure she is getting the oxygen she needs. Please pray she is fine and we can just move on.
Her eating is finally getting better. She is trying all kinds of new things and is finally showing a chewing motion and not gagging as much. We tried soybutter and she likes it so maybe we CAN fatten her up! She is still on formula, the toddler formula, for the calories and gets most of her nutrition from the bottle but we are trying to transition her slowly.
I know I've said all this before, but every time she gets a new tooth or gets sick, we take a hundred steps back and unlike a normal baby, we literally start all over again. So how do I feel? We are starting over again, with food, with walking. The difference? I don't care, I don't push, I don't stress...I can't control any of it so I may as well try to enjoy the ride. After all, how many people get to enjoy the baby stage this long?
K, on the other hand, is stinking hilarious! She is all of the best and all of the worst of a two year old. I feel like we are always at one extreme or another! Right now she is dancing around the living room with her frog - whom she has wrapped up in a blanket. Earlier, she was taking him for a run in his stroller (no walks anymore - guess they DO learn by example). She is so cute!
Yesterday, we spent the day having fits, sitting in time out, waiting forever at the table while her food practically dissolved in her mouth, and screeching whenever things did't go her way or she got told 'no'...life with a two-year old! :) I have however decided that if that is the price for a happy, well-adjusted girl who reads to herself (yep, out loud), watches out for and plays with her sister, makes me food in her kitchen, and asks me to cuddle with her in the evenings, I think it's all worth it in the end!
K has taken it on herself to teach Em how to dance...
Check out that tongue!
Feeding monkey this morning.
Oh yeah, the other day she wanted french fries so I asked her if she wanted to know how to make french fries. She agreed and we were off. I never would have thought to take pics but if you look at the bottom, the potatoes were still raw when she decided it had taken long enough and started to eat them. After I stopped laughing at her, I found the camera and got a pic of her face. I kid you not, she just kept eating them!
Have a great day and God Bless!!

Catching Up
I really need to catch up on just some random but fun pics...so, lots of pics.
One of G+G E's visits...tickling Em.
I believe this is the obligatory photo of K reading...she has started to read to herself and it is adorable! She will say all the words she remembers from a page and then move on to the next one. Sometimes I hide around the corner just to listen to her. :)
Poppy is a trooper...he showed her this 'flying' game and I think he forgot she was two...she wanted to do it for the rest of the day.
Nana gave Em ice cream...you can see what she thought of that! She is eating well again. I have decided she just isn't allowed to teethe anymore.
K put Nana's socks and shoes on...
When I took Em's pics, K had to get involved...it is the only time I don't have to 'trick' her to get a pic (when she is jealous of Em getting all the attention). :)
This is how K helps Em when she is crying...she gently pats or rubs her head and says, "OK Emma, no cry". It is so cute!
The easy photo girl...
Texting friends...can't wait for those bills!
Just them 'talking'.
Now, K is two so sometimes, this photo ends with laughs and "silly Emma" and the rest of the time, it ends in a screech of horror and fake crying followed by "no, emma, no touch". You pick, it's about a fifty-fifty shot. :) This one was cute.
They are starting to 'wrestle' which is really cute, but I still have to supervise in order to save the little one. :)
We've had some storms roll through which have left us green and white, but yesterday we got some hail. It was neat, so I took a photo...
Not realizing it would just continue and continue...
We got so much hail that it looked like it had snowed.
Storms always leave some stellar sunsets...
Em styling her new goatee...
And K styling the bowl look.
I almost forgot...K put Em's outfit on and then helped me 'fix' her toy with "new ba-ah-wees". Here she is carrying the tool box back to the garage.
Oh, I took K out to see the snow....in a field two minutes from here....
At first, she refused to touch it...then she finally picked up a piece with two fingers exactly...
Have a great day and God Bless!!
