On Thursday, March 31, we had our very first "Family Day". This is the day we celebrate as the first day we actually became a family...the day Emily came home from the hospital and the first time the sisters met. Ah, what a glorious, victorious and incredibly frightening day!!
Well, this is one year later! Yes, this is the first time we have gotten everyone to look up at the same time and of course Em is in her PJs, K's hair is in a mess, and well...who cares? We are here together as a family. That's all that matters today!
K didn't care about anything except eating that "choco-wet buh-wer-fie cake"...well, except that she had a fork and a bib on first. Look at that goofy grin.
By the way, the letters are the first letters of our names, I was not losing it when I made this cake. I chose a butterfly because K loves them and always has as it was one of her first intelligible words and because it has four sections, one for each of us. If anyone knows how to get the cornstarch off the fondant, please let me know. Thanks!
