Our resident "pied piper"...yep, she finds a stool, puts it in the middle of the floor, climbs up on it and plays her flute. She is very serious about it too! No smiles, just serious playing. Then she stops and carefully gets down, claps for herself and walks off. Crazy girl!!
Today we went on skype with my parents and Em opened her birthday present while they watched. Well, what really happened was that Emmy stared at the box until big sister got permission to help her out...
She did well giving it back to Em to try it,
but in the end, it became a joint effort. It was cute even though I have no idea what was going through her tiny little mind - "Am I going to get in trouble for ripping this? or simply, "What IS this thing in my lap?" She didn't get it so it's a good thing she has a big sister to help her this year.
We don't do halloween but our friends do and these guys came by to show us their costumes. Adorable little family!!
Another day, another opportunity to dress up...just wait til she sees what we found for Christmas!! Oh, and I was informed today that, "those not my dess (dreess)-up clothes, those my dacing (dancing) clothes!"
So when I take these girls around together on errands, I spend the day explaining that, no, I do not have triplets!!
M and I were having tea and coffee the other day when K walked in looking like this and informing us that she needed to "fix daddy". Look at that wrench sticking straight out front! :) Ha! She is getting funnier by the day...oh, and testier too! She is pretty sure she is in charge so we have many a battle every day, re-establishing me as the authority figure. We get it figured out sometime just before bed and then she goes to sleep...where she forgets everything she has ever learned in this area. Convenient! Ahhh!!! :)
Our other little diva just learned to walk in her high heel shoes. She was so proud of herself (and honestly, so was I!!). She looks a lot more like mommy the way she walks, not so much like sister who could probably do an obstacle course in them.
Well, we are about to get inundated by boys for the weekend so I better sign off. Have a great day and may God's blessings pour out on your every move!

Pumpkin Patch Two
We headed to a different pumpkin patch this week with the Mom's group from church. This was much smaller but had much better atmosphere and aesthetic value. Plus, we got to do more since we paid for a group pass and it made it all reasonable. :)
Z showed up with two pairs of matching boots and K couldn't have been more excited...pink, soft boots AND they match Z!!! WOW! Once again I ask, "How did I get girls???" This is watching the honey presentation...
...afterwards, we were supposed to taste the honey and K said, "No! That belongs to the bees!" Yes, I am guilty of letting her watch the Bee Movie. Apparently she hasn't watched the end.
Oh and yes I chopped her hair off...it was wet and I got a lot more than I wanted and then she wouldn't let me trim the front. Don't worry, A's mom came over the next day and fixed it 'as best she could'. At least now it lays right and looks okay from the front. This...not so much.
So I found her hat before we took any more pics. :) This is in the hay maze.
"Where are you Mom?"
Then it was on to feeding the animals...
And maze number two...
...which lead to a pumpkin patch where each kid got to choose one pumpkin to take home. Of course K finds the "cute, baby pumpkin". She would have been happy with that until she saw her friends find bigger ones.
And, of course, Emmy found the biggest pumpkin she could lift.
We then headed onto the back of a tractor for a hay ride.
Z was scared the whole way...it's funny to have her being the cautious one all the sudden. A and K have always been the 'sissies', as I call them. Now suddenly the younger two are branching out and the oldest is getting cautious. It's so fun to watch things change all the time with these guys!
I got K screaming, "Hayride!"
Everywhere Emmy goes, she makes new friends. That nice lady holding her just took to her and watched her nearly everywhere we went. In unfamiliar environments, K clings to my leg (unless A and Z are there) and Emmy stands still til she finds someone to hold her hand and then she is off to the races to go everywhere she can go.
Looking into the valley from the hayride.
A showing me her pirate face...yeah, I'm not seeing it either. :)
As much of the group as was still together by the end...
We were hanging out talking and the girls decided to go sit on these steps. I thought it was hilarious to try to imagine what the conversation must be to create this series of looks...
Hmmm...they look like such serious little girls! Have a great day! God Bless!!

Hike with Friends
It's been pretty busy around here so I think installments over the next couple days are in order. :) This week, we went for a hike to some pretty falls with some of our friends.
Such a cute little poser! This was her first hike and she didn't really think she could do it. Her parents kept pushing her and by the time we made it to the falls, she had that excited, "I did something I didn't think I could do" air about her. :)
A fence? Yes, we live in SoCal...
G was so excited about her new-found ability to hike, she had Dad take off and do some rock climbing with her.
Our version of rock climbing...
Little blue eyes couldn't stay out of the water...
Very funny, Mommy!!
Mommy's favorite
We spent most of our time throwing rocks in the creek. Why this is so entertaining I have no idea. I did learn that Emmy was born knowing how to throw correctly. Thank goodness! We have been trying to teach K to throw right for a very long time and unless we remind her, she still tends to throw very awkwardly...almost sidearm. Crazy girl!
This is just the area around us. I thought this was a nice view so I took it.
This is Emmy doing her best imitation of K. K and I tend to walk around the house holding things as microphones and singing at the top of our lungs. So when Em walked out in her ballerina pajamas with her hat on backwards, holding a microphone and sounding more like a rapper than a vocalist, I had to snap the photo before she quit!
This is one of my favorite things they do and since they are usually fighting instead of sharing, I cherish it even more! K knows all these books by heart, so she is actually reading to Em.
I hope you have a wonderful day! God Bless!
