Visit

I know it is crazy late but I finally stole some pics of our newest niece on the Erickson side. Seriously she is ridiculously cute!!! And I'm totally not jealous that she was born with more hair than my daughters had at their first birthdays. :)

We just went down to visit Nana and Poppy...

The weather here has been really really nice. I mean stereotypical southern CA style.

We put a 'tea flower' in hot water and watched it grow.

Emmy's eyes.  So sad they get hidden most of the time.  This was funny though, she took her glasses off, put the sunglasses on and then pushed them up on her head like mommy.  :)

Just some bonus sister pics. I keep forgetting to tell the "gas story". We were headed to church last week when I told K that the car was thirsty and we needed some gas. "Ok, I wook for it for you!" she assured me from the back. When we got near the corner, I heard, "Mommy! There it is!" Which was actually nice because Mommy brain had already forgotten about the gas.

Anyway, when we were done, we were sitting at the light and I hear, "S-H-E-...pause...(she doesn't get it that a straight line is an L instead of a one so she started throwing out random numbers...four, eight...it spells...it spells...". After the pause, I look out and say, "S-H-E-L-L, it spells, shell." Then my three year old looks right at me like I'm crazy and says, "No it doesn't, Mommy! It spells 'gas'!"

Well, so far all is well in the Erickson household. We are healthy, happy, temper-tantrum-throwing individuals, all living under the same roof. There's never a dull moment! I hope all is well with you! God Bless!

Hello!

Well hello to all of you!  It has been a while and I have lots of updates to do but I almost forgot to tell you two of the most important pieces of news...my brother is home from Afghanistan - safe and sound, PTL!! And Nana got some really cute pics of our new niece, so I will steal some and introduce you all to her soon!

This sequence was so cute that I just had to include it.

We have been out late and up early for several days in a row and well, that leaves Em a little on the mischievous side these days...this is her, "Ah you totally saw that...but wasn't it funny?" look.

Soon they will actually play together.  :)

Monday we headed out to Indio to visit with the Erickson's...I realize that is an ambiguous statement as there must be at least a million of us, but M's second cousins.

It was quite windy...

...but that didn't stop the girls from wanting to swim.

Emmy likes to think she is just like K, but the cold hard truth is that Emmy, like the rest of us, actually gets cold every once in a while, so she had to come out.  :)

Awww, my girls...

Right after this, Em slipped and smacked her chin on the steps of the playground.  She got a nice cut across her chin and managed to get blood on all our clothes but I think in the end, the band-aids bothered her more than the cut.

Upstairs we played with third cousins...

And Eric told me to put this in the blog under, "Eat your heart out Grandpa!"  So, that's not my fault Poppy!  We will see you tomorrow!!  :)

Ready for bed...or their carseats...interchangeable terms in our girl's world.

Hope all is well!  Thanks for all the emails and feel free to write any time.  I am open to pray for things you need prayer for and love to hear from you!  God Bless!
