My Side of the Family

Unlike the Erickson's who have a family reunion and think it is small when only 250 show up, my side of the family is a different story...

Yep, that's all of us. Well, we are missing three. My sister (in red) is missing her hubby and the 'other' family is missing a daughter and son-in-law.  And, yes, you guessed it, I have a grand total of three cousins on that side of the family.  :)

So this is our little family unit...we haven't all been together since just after Em was born.

So that is my Dad's sister and family, minus one.

Since it takes five hundred years to upload pictures here (I have continued on from Tahoe to Redding to spend a little more time with my sister and kids), I am doing this is small, quick bursts so I don't throw my computer across the room.  Have a great day!!

L Family in Tahoe

"If you like to talk to tomatoes, if a squash can make you smile...then have we got a show for you!" I might have the Veggie Tales song stuck in my head because we may or may not have watched an awful lot of movies on our 9 hour drive up to Lake Tahoe for my family reunion. This is the view from the porch of the house we rented...

Ok, there is just not too much of this...this is looking from left to right across the entire lake.

Since my brother and I arrived before everyone else, we headed down to the beach just to check it out.

The water was 45 degrees that day and Em discovered that the hard way.

Of course we had to jump in and get our full freeze on!  I miss my brother...he makes me do such stupid things...and life is so much more fun that way!

His son, N, tried it out too.

The kids were frozen and sat next to Auntie MoMo to try to get warm.

The day ended as everyone else arrived.

Ah, green, beauty, trees, nature...my heart and mind rest in this little piece of heaven.
