Our day at Zephyr Cove started with Grandpa trying to convince K that she should swim in the 50 degree water of Lake Tahoe.
It didn't work so well.
So we played a little catch.
And hung out in the sand.
K was VERY concerned over the fact that Em had sand on her feet. Recall that K is texture-phobic...thus the socks on her feet while walking around on the sand.
BUT...soon, as K watched as Grandpa swim in the lake, she got some great ideas.
She threw her ball in the lake and then went to get it...no more pics but the end of the story is that Mom ended up holding her hand as she ran around in circles, splashing and 'backing in' until she was chest deep in the water. Even after 15 minutes in the ice bath and a now quivering, purple lip, she cried when I made her get out of the water. :)
Grandma wrapped Em in a towel and held her so she could take a nap while K squealed with delight in the water.
We had to jet home to get warm again but it was fun.
Em on the bed.
K and Grandma headed to the pool.
