We were able to speak with both the fellow and the attending drs today and...we have no idea what is wrong with Em. They are kind of stumped because this is very unusual for a baby that has been eating well for as long as she has. They have eliminated all the usual suspects and even some of the not so usual, but nothing. Her antibiotics will finish up tomorrow and that is normally when they would feed her. Instead, they will consider some different medicines but until her stomach is clear for at least 24hrs, they won't start feeding her again.
Poor girl is so crabby! Don't know how I would feel after a week of not eating, but this is the third nurse that has told us she needs to go to anger management classes. :) How did both my girls get daddy's temper? Guess it is good for Em, that is a lot of the reason she is still here. She is losing weight too...need to get real food in her soon!
