Escondido Uno

We are back from our week in Escondido (north of San Diego). We stayed at the Welk Resort, which was quite nice. Since it was going to be the warmest and sunniest on our first two days there, we spent them in the pools.  Unfortunately my children do not like to get splashed so the awesome children's play places were a loss on them.  Took a picture of the fake palm tree first.  :-)

The girls are also too short for just about anything, so the big slides were a loss on them as well (although not for me).  :-)  It's hard to tell but the rock formation is a big slide that starts at the top right of the picture and ends at the bottom left.

April and family flew out to meet us and we were able to get two suties side-by-side, with connecting doors we left open to make a huge apartment for us all to stay in.

The girls are fish.

Dad coming down the slide.

T is seven months old...he doesn't look so big next to his Daddy, but wait til you see him next to my girls.

One of the other pools, overlooking the hills.

This pool had a beach entry on the far end and the girls were in heaven with the freedom to run in and out as they pleased!  Wish we had foud it sooner!

Em being so brave in her six inches of water.

I told the girls we had to go and they were not too happy about it so I asked them to give me their best sad faces.

Luckily, there was far more to do than just swim around at our resort!
