Shed victory and Hike

Well, we had a weekend of hard work and relaxation. M finished the foundation for the shed so we spent one day moving the shed, which is nothing but a miracle that it went back together for the third time. We had to pound and bend a little bit but it did eventually fit.

But now, this is what my patio and backyard looks like when you walk out the door.  We gained not just space but a huge visual horizon that makes a massive mental difference as well as opening up usable space...especially for the bikes.  :)

While Dad was finishing the foundation, we decided to eat the fruits of our labor.  We picked the tomatoes and peppers from our plants...

...diced them (don't worry, she's just posing.  I only let her cut while I was helping her)...

...we sauteed them...

...and K, well, she ate them and then pretended to eat them.  Then we gave them to Em and she ate them all.

So, after two days of working, we took the last day to go for a hike.

Ever seen an inversion layer?  See that darker layer of smog over the city?  That is the smog LA is famous for.

Look at that pine cone!!

Our goofball has decided she likes standing up in the backpack, which makes me happy.

I hope your life is blessed!!
