Food Poisoning

Well, we are in the recovery stage.  We have it narrowed down to the chicken we ate on Wednesday night (only food that B, Kylie and I all ate in common).  B felt the results almost immediately (hour later).  Kylie and I didn't get hit until around 11:30 pm.   Fortunately, Emily refused to eat any food that night, so we are counting our blessings for her current finnicky-ness.

Kylie threw up all over her bed (yeah, the new one-fortunately we put a plastic cover underneath), pillow, special princess blanket, and two "bears."  Losing her two bears and blanket was more trauma than the throwing up.  We tried putting Kylie in the pack and play and moved her in our room.  Two episodes of throwing up in there, we were forced to use the last option and move her to our bed.  (Remember that during this time, both B and I were suffering the same problems as Kylie and felt horrible ourselves).

Around 2 am, Kylie woke up, telling us she was hungry and thirsty.  We gave her half a banana and a glass of milk.  Needless to say, we did not know dairy products are a big no-no when you get food poisoning!  Around 3 am, Kylie threw up all over B and our bed.  With no options left, we moved to the couches in the living room and I slept with Kylie on my chest.  The remainder of the day was spent in front of the TV and trying to convince Kylie to keep drinking water and Gatorade (and numerous trips to the bathroom).

B and I are feeling better, although, we are still weak from not really eating anything yesterday.  Kylie is grouchy and tired, but at least she is eating and drinking.

Food poisoning sucks!
