NC - Lazy 5 Ranch

I am sorry it has been so long...we have lost another computer...I may or may not have dropped it...we just can't win these days with our electronics. Right now I have my lap top hooked up to a desk top screen and am using the two together in an attempt to update. Ridiculous!

Anyway, one of the things we did while we were out with Mark and Gina was go to an animal ranch/zoo where you get to drive through an open area and feed the animals as well as wander around and see animals in more confined regions. We weren't sure how it was going to go with the kids, but they LOVED it!!

The llamas as you pull in.  Look at the green.  Ah, have I mentioned before that I love green???  Green and really nice people...ah, the two best combinations in life.

See the baby lemur?

We tried to show Em how to open her hand so the animals could eat the food she had clenched but it took all day before she even sort of got close to opening her hand. Oh, in Mamma's jacket since we switched diaper bags at the last minute and the jackets didn't make it in.

Emily driving with Auntie G.  This is probably as close as Em will ever get to driving and boy did she love it!

Yes, we all piled into one car.  Since we didn't need car seats on the 5mph road, it was a free for all.  Come to think of it, children like Em make me grateful for car seats.  I think they are the only time she sits still.

Em was like a dog...as long as her head was out the window, she was happy as a clam.

Zebras too?  Why yes, in the middle of NC there are zebras, llamas, emus, giraffes, ostriches and much more.

M's fav shot.

"ruff-ruff"

Only once did we speed up, when we saw this coming for the car.

They even had a park at the picnic tables...

Em found this stick and drug it around for a while.  For all who know of Uncle Mark's stick ("this is my man"), a stick he carried around with him for a very longs time as a boy, you know why he was cracking up watching her carry this around.

Pucker up!  Em leaning in for a kiss.

For all the parents who love it when their kids feed the animals...yes, your child's hand goes all the way into the animal's mouth.

We had a very wonderful time and since none of the kids collapsed without their naps, it was made even better.  Such little troopers and look at the rewards!!!
